Throughout my senior year, I have been a member of USC’s five-person entry to the Bateman Competition, PRSSA’s national case study competition. Bateman challenges teams of students to research, plan, implement, and evaluate a public relations campaign for an actual client in just three months, giving students real-world experience. It is highly competitive, with many schools around the country forming teams each year. The 2024 Competition was focused on Culturs, a global multicultural magazine, and tasked us with creating awareness of the magazine on college campuses and its mission to enhance community and foster human connection. Our team created the Culturs Cola campaign, which included on-campus events, social media outreach, campus partnerships, and other aspects aimed at growing the Culturs brand. Some highlights of the work I completed for the campaign can be seen below (and is clickable to the real content), including my work on social media, newsletters, videos, and spearheading the creation of the final submission.
UPDATE: I am proud to say that out of the 45 submissions to the competition this year, our team has placed in the top 11 and received an honorable mention for our campaign.
The final campaign book was submitted on March 25, 2024, and, after moving to the second round of judging, placed in the top 11 and received an honorable mention. It features a campaign summary and evaluation, along with an appendix showcasing the materials created. (Click to view the full campaign book.)
